The old raliroad grade

crosses a wetland. It's made of dredged up mud, rock and shell. A long gone trestle allowed the tide to flow.

Once the home of Vilicich family originally from Yugoslavia. They lived there for a number of years before moving, houses and all, across the bay to Marshall. There still remnants of a chimney here at Whites Gulch. The family opened Marshall Boat Works and were successfuly building and repairing boats for many years.
